Today is the eve of Oktoberfest Weekend 2014. It's a beautiful fall night with a modest sunset and no rain in sight. We write this tonight knowing that we will look at this first post years from now and remember how, once, we barely thought this could be a reality. On this date, we don't yet own the New Glarus Hotel Restaurant, but our plans are evolving. We're talking in hushed tones; ideas are filling our notebooks; the ball is in motion.
While the restaurant has been such a big part of the New Glarus community for so many years, we feel there is more we can offer. We hope to breathe new life into the New Glarus Hotel Restaurant, Ticino Pizzeria, and Chalet Landhaus Restaurant. A new life that honors the past and looks to the future. We hope that the excitement and energy we have today will grow into something great.
As we write this, our website is not yet live—in fact, it's under development and mostly bare. We think being reflective is important, which is why we are writing a blog post when no one can see it. Soon, we hope this can become a dialogue between our community, where we can share the experience of owning this restaurant and the things we love, and see the response of the people who go here.
